Shirley

Shirley lives on her own and 4 years ago had to give up driving her car due to her failing eye sight.  Living in a rural village with no regular bus services  meant that Shirley would become very isolated and lonely.  CATS Connecting Communities rural bus service has been a life saver and helped Shirley continue to be independent, remain active and socialise.

“I would like to say how glad and grateful I am to be able to use this service and without it my life, and world, would be much smaller and less interesting because I wouldn’t be able to get out very much. It is always a pleasure to make a booking, all staff are very helpful and  often go out of their way to accommodate my travel needs within the service.  The drivers of the buses who are all really kind and cheerful, even when the weather and driving conditions have been very challenging are  willing to help lift people’s shopping onto the bus. They have also taken every care to keep us safe during the pandemic.

Thank you all for a wonderful service. Top marks for everything. Well done”.
