For many disabled passengers, buses are a lifeline to independence, but accessing services can be a real challenge. With Suffolk County Council's on-demand service Connecting Communities we can help mitigate that. We pick you up close to your requested time as possible, either from your home or designated pick up location and return you as well. Our helpful drivers will assist you getting onboard via the step or our wheelchair lift at the back. All of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Whether you, a friend or someone you know needs help getting to the shops, doctors or visiting friends and loved ones. Let them know about the bus! ![]()

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it, or it's been deleted.
This weekend into next week isn't looking too sunny or warm, don't curl up by the fire, holding out for the rain to stop, reclaim your independence and grab a bus with Connecting Communities or Katch! Don't stay in and hibernate, get out and about! All of our buses are wheelchair accessible, and we take people shopping, to appointments, and to work and back.
