Community Car Service
Our volunteers kindly use their own vehicles to provide journeys for those in need. The cost is 45p per mile, calculated from the volunteer’s home. We do our best to match you with the nearest available driver to help keep costs as low as possible.
Drivers are happy to wait for up to 1 hour for shopping trips or appointments, and up to 2 hours for hospital visits.
This service is available to anyone who does not have access to a private vehicle or is unable to use public transport.
Fares are paid directly to the volunteer driver.
To use this service, you must be a registered member. Membership costs £20 per year or £4 per month.

The event will start with guest speakers, and is open for all to attend, network with others and get support.
RSPB Minsmere's Heritage Open Day is taking place on Sunday, the 14th, and Monday, the 15th, with guided walks led by Minsmere experts exploring the history of the site. Learn how the land here changed from an estuary to the Nature Reserve we know and love today. Tickets are free and CATS is providing free transport on Monday! We will pick up from Leiston Library, Aldeburgh Library and Saxmundham Train Station to Minsmere and return.
